November has been a busy and impactful month at CRS Custom. CRS Custom was proud to sponsor the 55th Michiana Fight League (MFL) event on November 2nd, marking the seventh consecutive time we’ve partnered with this incredible organization. Held in the heart of Downtown South Bend, at the Century Center, MFL 55 brought together fighters and fans from South Bend, Mishawaka, and beyond for a night filled with electrifying matchups and unforgettable moments.

This year’s event didn’t disappoint, with a packed house cheering on a lineup of dedicated fighters who left everything in the ring. As a family-owned business, we admire the discipline, hard work, and determination these athletes bring to their craft, values that resonate deeply with our team at CRS.

Last month, we shared the incredible success of our Hurricane Helene relief drive, led by CRS’s own Dominic Medlin. Partnering with local Michiana businesses like JSK Hospitality and Tyler’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling, we collected an overwhelming number of essential supplies to support North Carolina communities devastated by the storm.
This November, we’re proud to report that these supplies have been delivered directly to ABCCM – Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry, a trusted organization on the ground providing relief to families in need. Thanks to the efforts of the CRS team and the generosity of our community, pallets of food, water, hygiene products, and other necessities arrived safely to make an immediate impact.
This initiative was especially meaningful as we dedicated it to the memory of Chad Medlin, Dominic’s cousin and a hero in every sense of the word. Chad, a veteran, first responder, and business owner, was deeply committed to serving others and was actively involved in the hurricane recovery efforts before his untimely passing on November 2, 2024. His courage and compassion inspired us to do more, and it’s our honor to carry forward his legacy through this relief effort.

Winter driving brings unique challenges, especially in areas like South Bend and Mishawaka, where snow, ice, and freezing temperatures are part of the season. At CRS Custom, we’re committed to helping our community stay safe on the road by highlighting essential winter maintenance tips—and offering a great deal to make it even easier!
Your tires are the key to staying safe on slick winter roads. Start by inspecting the tread depth to ensure proper traction. Use the penny test: insert a penny into the tread with Lincoln’s head facing down. If you can see all of Lincoln’s head, your tires are too worn and should be replaced.
For better grip and control, consider switching to winter tires. These tires are specially designed to handle icy and snowy conditions, offering improved braking distance and stability.
Also, keep an eye on tire pressure, which drops as temperatures fall—by about one PSI for every 10-degree decrease. Driving on underinflated tires reduces performance, increases wear, and can make handling more difficult. Check your tire pressure weekly and inflate to the manufacturer’s recommended levels.
